Daimyo

It's a board game for 2-4 players. It's a war between ancient Japan Daimyos. Each player is the Daimyo of a clan and has to create and control his warriors trying to capture an enemy Daimyo. It's a game of pure strategy. Easy to learn, but very difficult to master. You have big hexagons that show the territory. Cards control the game flow. You also have wooden pieces to represent your forces.

What you need:

Daimyō: 4 big wooden pieces, one for each color. Each player selects a clan (colors:green, red, yellow and blue) and takes the Daimyō of his selected color.
Bushi: 12 wooden pieces for each of the four clans (colors: green, red, yellow and blue). Each Daimyō leads his army of Bushi, the warriors of his clan.
Rōnin: 3 white wooden pieces. The famous "Wave men" can be recruited only when playing according to the Advanced Rules.
Han: 24 hexagonal fields which represent the battlefield. 12 neutral (white) and 3 for each clan (3 green, 3 red, 3 yellow and 3 blue).
Samegawa: 4 game boards, one for each clan, to store the Densho cards and the Bushi pieces.
Densho: 48 Densho cards which represent the actions that the players may perform during the game. 12 Bushi Moves (A), 8 Bushi Recruitments (B), 4 Daimyō Moves (C), 4 New Han (D), 4 Han Moves (E), 8 Special Actions (F) and 8 Mastery cards.

Biblios Card Game

THE GAME CONCEPT
You are an abbot of a medieval monastery competing with other abbots to amass the greatest library of sacred books. To do so, you need to have both the workers and resources to run a well-functioning scriptorium. To acquire workers and resources, you use a limited supply of donated gold. In addition, you must be on good terms with the powerful bishop, who can help you in your quest.

OUTLINE OF GAME PLAY
The object of the game is to score the most Victory Points. You win Victory Points by winning any of the 5 categories: Illuminators, Scribes, Manuscripts, Scrolls, and Supplies. You win a category by having the highest total number of workers (Scribes, Illuminators) or resources (Manuscripts, Scrolls, Supplies) in that category. This is determined by the numbers in the upper left corner on the cards. At the start of the game, each category is worth 3 Victory Points. As the game progresses, the values on the Value Board will change and some categories will become worth more or less Victory Points than others. The game is divided into 2 stages: a Donation stage and an Auction stage. During the Donation stage, players acquire free cards according to an established plan. In the Auction stage, players purchase cards in auction rounds. After the two stages, winners of each category are determined and Victory Points awarded. The player with the most Victory Points wins.

GAME CHARACTERISTICS
The game involves a good deal of strategic planning, some bluffing, and a little bit of luck. The rules are easy to understand, but you have to play it a few times to develop a playing strategy. It plays differently from 2-4 players, but each game is equally fun and challenging.

• 5 Value Cards

Maestro Leonardo

A worker-placement game for 2-5 players with an interesting bidding mechanic.
In many other worker-placement games, if an opponent beats you to a spot, you're out of luck.
Not so in Leonardo da Vinci. Here, you can bid more workers to jump ahead in line.
And people at the back of the line, can still get something, but they have to pay more to get it.
The competition for resources is very dynamic and fun.
