Прошёл месяц, как началось формирование списков претендентов на Golden Geek Award — 2011, и вот уже готовы списки номинантов. В каждой из 13-ти категорий отобрано десять "финалистов", одному из которых в результате и достанется награда. Голосование продлится до 31 октября, а затем будут объявлены победители.
